The 5th chakra which is located in the throat area houses our communicative style but also our personal will or how we are heard. “I say, I am, I desire, I need”, these are all proclamations of our will. How are these heard by others or are they even heard by others?
A trend I have observed recently is the use of different colours to personalise how we communicate with others and also how the voice of our will is received or perceived. A client can be using the colour of raspberry for her communication with others aspect of herself along with a darker, rich burgundy for her own personal will and how she communicates it.
Raspberry is a universally appreciated colour. There’s not many who would say they are averse to the colour raspberry. If there are two types of cough medicines with the same ingredients on the shelf but one has raspberry flavouring, of course we will choose that. The colour raspberry is most pleasing to the eye in any use. So by using this colour in the fifth chakra and fifth layer of the aura it can make communication with others effortless. It can allow one to communicate with all levels and layers of personalities.
Communicating with others also entails the success of whether or not they ‘heard’ or could ‘palette’ the information. We all know the gesture of a nodding head but when asked what you had just verbalised they cannot tell you. It was never digested because it was never invited onto their palette.
I have commented to many clients understanding this trend, the wide screen benefit to this use of chosen colours and such variety! External reflections or validation could be easier communication channels opening up with those who you may have had difficulty with before or an increase in numbers of those you communicate directly with. Communication is central to our feelings of well being. We all understand the pain of isolation, of feeling not a part of. If updating the colours used in the 5th chakra and 5th layer of the aura will present more rewarding communication, there will be a natural gravitation towards it, a trend.
Why another colour for the capacity of our personal will? What I have noticed is though there is successful, wide range benefit with communication with others, this same colour or hue may not be adequate or strong enough for the more personal side of our desires and needs. This is where being heard or not becomes increasingly important. To extend ourselves to communicate our deeper sides and then realise it was not heard nor noticed is always painful. Much of this can be remedied with the use of a more demonstrative colour. This is always a personal choice. An example would be using a rich burgundy because it communicates with wisdom and recognition. A rich burgundy is received by the palette with respect. There is acknowledgement of the precision of the process (metaphor/analogy) of winemaking and the relationship of winemaker to his flock of grapes. We all want to create and experience a good vintage.
If the colour is not vibrationally strong enough in this area of will, we tend to become The Unheard. We don’t see within our external environments that which we desire to be in our lives. I am seeing in my clients that once this colour is stepped up with intent and focus, external circumstances begin to change.
Such is the relationship of our will and our voice. As in all harmonious relationships, there is nurturance of both and support in their individual needs as well. Well being. Trend. We just love it.
